Veronica is a 25-year-old young lady from northern Spain. Last year she moved to Madrid, leaving behind family and friends.
"I felt empty inside. I was searching for a purpose for my life," she told me. "I used to believe in God, but I had abandoned Him. I felt so guilty for all the things I'd done wrong." She prayed that God would lead her to someone who could teach her truth and show her who Jesus was.
 One day she went to do some shopping in downtown Madrid. She heard someone singing in the Puerta del Sol, the central plaza of Madrid, and stepped closer to listen. Maritza was singing a song called "I Don´t Understand." It resonated in Veronica´s heart.
Moments later she met Julia, who shared with her who Jesus was and how He could set her free from all her guilt. In tears, Veronica surrendered her life to Jesus. Julia began to meet with her and help share the truth of the Word with her; she became a very real answer to Veronica´s prayer.
Veronica just celebrated her first spiritual birthday. It´s been a year since she received Jesus' forgiveness and gave her heart to Him. She now is a full-time student at the same Bible School Julia attends.
Veronica faithfully comes down to Kilometer Zero at Puerta del Sol to share her faith in the very spot where she found hers. She steps up on the box and tells people how Jesus has transformed her life. And God has used her to lead others to Him, too!
