Slightly more than 2 years ago, the Lord directed AGWM personnel in Spain, Steven and Susan Kennedy, to move to the city of Cambrils. With only 2 people, they began a mid-week Bible study. Then a Sunday morning service was added. In March of this year, some were baptized in water. Also in March, the decision was made for the church plant to move from the hotel rental to its own rental building. So now, mid-week prayer meetings are held as well.
 God is at work in regards to the physical facility for this church. The architect has received approval from the city hall for the second set of plans, but they are still waiting on permits for remodeling. Each step is a huge spiritual victory. Still strapped financially to finish the big-ticket remodel projects in the church rental building (e.g. handicap accessible bathroom, fireproof wall, and emergency exit door), conduct the sound study that city hall requires and pay all required fees, the church congregation is doing all it can and are grateful for each step forward. Some of the walls are up and have been textured and painted.
Without a doubt, God is working among His people in Cambrils. Of the six believers that began one-on-one discipleship courses, two have finished and are using the same course to disciple someone else! Others are reaching out to friends and relatives. On a very recent Sunday morning, there were nearly 50 adults present for worship service (and 7 children in Sunday School)! Apart from regular attenders, there were visitors from the Ukraine, Bolivia, Ecuador, Germany and even a couple on summer vacation from Switzerland. Each one of these visitors has their ethnic circle of friends and relatives. As the Good News is proclaimed, the message and influence of God’s love and forgiveness reaches the uttermost parts of the earth.
The children's ministry in the church plant is taking definite shape as three young people are active assistants and are being mentored by a seasoned teacher God has sent their way. Seven people are attending the current membership class, and services are alive with the prophetic word. God's church is being planted in Cambrils.
